Saint John’s has a junior choir for anyone who enjoys singing and is aged between 8 and 11. Choristers start by attending rehearsals on Thursday evenings between 6.45 and 7.30 during term time, and singing at the 10am service in the church hall.
When they are confident, they join the full choir at the 6.30pm Communion services on the first and third Sundays of each month.
The Juniors also work on the RSCM Voice for Life scheme which leads to the presentation of Light Blue, Dark Blue and Red Ribbons. The juniors enjoy an annual trip to the bowling alley and also join in the full choir social held in the summer.
